Jenna Coleman, star of Doctor Who and period drama Victoria, has secretly welcomed her baby. The actress was photographed on a family outing in leafy North London, happily spending time with her boyfriend Jamie Childs and their newborn. The parents have not yet revealed the baby’s gender or name, nor have they revealed when exactly they welcomed their first child.

Pictures seen by The Sun show Jenna pushing a pram while Jamie carries their baby in a carrier strapped to his chest. Coleman is dressed stylishly in jeans, a cardigan and her eyes are covered by sunglasses. Jamie, who is pictured drinking coffee and holding his baby, chose a total black look for a family outing.

Jenna Coleman, 38, announced she was pregnant with director Jamie Childs, 35, on June 19, 2024, during the opening of an exhibition at Chatsworth House. She was pictured there with a baby bump.

Coleman and Childs: From working together to romance and parenthood

Jenna has been in a relationship with British director and filmmaker Jamie Childs since 2021. They met on the set of the American fantasy drama television series The Sandman in 2020. The partners are reportedly living in a townhouse worth around £2.2million, where they are raising their first child. But despite their public profile, Jenna and Jamie prefer to keep their personal life behind closed doors. Therefore, very little is known about their relationship or what their family nest looks like.

In addition to collaborating on the Sandman series, Jamie directed Jenna in his debut feature film Jackdaw, which was released in January 2024. According to the director, Jenna Coleman inspired him to create this movie. Childs admitted that while Jenna was busy working on her projects, he felt like he was sitting idle. That’s why he decided to write the script for the Jackdaw.

Before the current relationship, from 2011 to 2015, Coleman dated Richard Madden, known for his roles as Robb Stark in the Game of Thrones series. Despite the breakup, the couple remained friends and even go on vacations together. In 2015, there were rumors that Jenna was in a relationship with Prince Harry. However, Coleman herself later denied this information, stating that they are not a couple, but only friends. In 2016, Jenna Coleman began a relationship with English actor Tom Hughes, with whom they starred in the ITV drama Victoria. Tom Hughes played the role of Prince Albert, Queen Victoria’s husband. However, they broke up in 2020, as they said their relationship had “run its course.”

Jenna shares thoughts on her role in new BBC crime thriller The Jetty

In the series, created and written by Cat Jones, Coleman plays Detective Ember Manning, who investigates a fire in a country house in a picturesque town in Lancashire. In addition, her character Ember Manning is also a mother, who gave birth to a daughter, Hannah, at the age of 17. The viewer will really enjoy following the relationship between mother and daughter, and Jenna herself admitted that this is her favorite line in the series, as this topic is very close to her. While investigating the fire, Detective Manning sees a connection to a missing person case from ten years ago. Unraveling the mysteries, Ember will have to learn about the secret past of her late husband. The TV series consists of 4 episodes, which will bring viewers closer to solving the main mystery.
